SUPPORT THE HAWS CAUSE AT HOMECOMING ‘10 – “Big Game” event to benefit Waukesha animal shelter

WAUKESHA ­­— HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, Inc. welcomes everyone to the “Big Game” – HAWS Homecoming ‘10!  The fun and exciting evening is a benefit for the animals and people assisted by HAWS and the programs and services provided by the shelter.

Celebrate “alumni” adopted pets and the important work of the Waukesha humane society at the football-themed gala on October 16, 2010 at Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc.  The “Big Game” features “fan”-tastic food, a live auction led by WKLH’s Marilynn Mee, a silent auction of valuable items for people and their pets, the Homecoming Court of adoptable pets, a festive parade complete with floats, casino games and a balloon burst with hundreds of prizes for guests to win.  Guests will also be invited to watch the UW vs. Ohio State game at the event – and win the 42” LCD flat-screen TV in the Big Game Raffle.

General admission tickets for $50 are on sale now.  To purchase call 262-542-8851 or long on to www.hawspets.org – look for the cheerleading cat for more information.  An online contest to win VIP tickets runs until October 9th, as do specials for HAWS adopters that feature VIP tickets.

Businesses, groups and individuals can “Join the Team” for the HAWS cause as a “Big Game” sponsor – with levels ranging from $250 to $5,000.  All include special VIP tickets with early entry to a pre-game “Tailgate,” special food and drink and exclusive VIP gifts.  Sponsors already on the “team” include Bruns Appraisal, Davies Orthdontics, Genesee Pet Suites & Kennel LLC, Gerald Nell Inc. and Teuteberg Incorporated.
