Waukesha animal shelter to host Bazaar; Mobile Adoption Center washes dogs & dines out

HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, Inc. announces a month full of reasons to be thankful for our best animal friends.

The Friends of HAWS annual Holiday Bazaar & Bake Sale is Saturday, Nov. 6, 9am – 4pm at HAWS.  Pet-related merchandise, seasonal items and sweet treats make for great shop-portunities.  Stop by for lunch, enter the raffle, browse and get a jump on holiday gift-buying.  All proceeds support HAWS.

T-Touch for Little Critters will be demonstrated Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1pm.  Lead by Dr. Claudeen E. McAuliffe, this hands-on class shows ways to alleviate stress in our small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs, so vet visits and nail trims become more routine.  Pre-registration/fee is required.

HAWS’ Mobile Adoption Center holds a Dog Wash for HAWS at Petlicious Spa in Pewaukee on Sunday, Nov. 14.  Be sure to Dine Out for HAWS on Monday, Nov. 15, at Applebee’s of Pewaukee – dine-in/carry-out and 15% of food sales will be donated to HAWS.  Other Mobile stops include a special Nov. 26 “black Friday” event at Petco – Waukesha.  Information and more at www.hawspets.org.

Be sure to register your children today for HAWS’ Winter Kids ‘N Critters Day Camp.  Camp will be held December 27-31, for ages 6-13, and include both 2- and 3-day sessions.

A fall adoption special has been announced!  Adopt one kitten from HAWS and the second kitten is FREE!  More details at www.hawspets.org.  Good until further notice.
